Sit through Peter Martins's energetic but dated John Adams setting Fearful Symmetries and savor the rest: Justin Peck's resplendent Pulcinella Variations (and man it takes guts make a Stravinsky setting for this company); Christopher Wheeldon's pretty gorgeous if insubstantial pas de deux to Dinah Washington as arranged by Max Richter, This Bitter Earth; and Alexei Ratmansky's thrilling Concerto DSCH, the kind of thing Ratmansky was put on this earth to create.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: High-class Southern Italian in stunning surroundings at The Leopard at des Artistes. Go for a full Italian three-course-before-dessert meal -- but be sure that the middle course is the Paccheri with "Genovese" Sauce, a thick Southern tomato-meat sauce that has zero to do with Genoa -- and lots to do with "it's getting colder outside and I want something rib-sticking".
