This festival -- which as far as I can tell originated in Chile -- presents an evening of psychedelic music.  Headlining are the remnants of the great '60s psychedelic Brazilian band, Os Mutantes -- one of those bands that present the "Ship of Theseus" problem:  having lost almost all its original members (it's now down to one), it makes you wonder whether it's still the band itself or just a tribute band.  Lee Ranaldo, who hasn't put a foot wrong since Sonic Youth broke up, obviously is still the real item, better maybe than ever (FULL DISCLOSURE:  college friend).  I'm pretty excited to see the Chilean (resident in Boston) space electropop band Breaking Forms.  And, of course, ace guitarist Jonatan Gat.  And much much more!

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  The only safe recommendation for after a Sunday-night show that will go on past midnight is West Village late-night French fave Buvette.  (Not that going to as utterly delightful a place as Buvette is any kind of sacrifice.)  If, however, Existing Conditions, a brand new avant-garde cocktail bar (with an intriguing food program) you'll be hearing a lot about from me over the next several weeks, stays open this late on Sundays -- they haven't disclosed their hours yet -- then that definitely becomes the play for after tonight's show.  And maybe a burger at J.G. Melon beforehand?
