Twenty years ago, Philip Glass composed a gripping string-quartet score for Tod Browning's horror classic Dracula. Around ten years later, longtime Glass collaborator Michael Riesman arranged the score for solo piano (an arrangement he and Glass thought enough of to have Riesman record it). Tonight, Riesman plays his piano arrangement of Glass's score, accompanying Browning's great movie. Hard to think of what you could do tonight that would be better than this.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Excellent burgers and competent martinis at the downtown J.G. Melon. (Tonight, order the burger blood rare.)
