BADBADNOTGOOD is an instrumental quartet from Toronto that combines (I'm not going use that charged word "fuse"*) jazz, hip-hop, and Downtempo. A group trying to do that could easily be terrible -- but these guys make it work, maintaining high levels of both listenability and authenticity. Their last album was really good -- and opening the concert will be Charlotte Day Wilson, a chill pop singer-songwriter who collaborated on one of the best tracks on it.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: I personally think people in Park Slope tend to overrate Chef Roberto Santibañez's Modern Mexican spot, Fonda. But good Modern Mexican isn't all over the place in New York, so maybe it's better to just enjoy the (concededly fine) food and not nitpick. Every restaurant can't be Cosme and Atla.
