The spectacularly good percussionist Milford Graves was one of the founders of the New York Free Jazz scene in the '60s. He's still going strong. In what promises to be a fascinating show, Graves is joined here by multi-instrumentalist Shazad Ismaily, who's played with just about everybody in avant-pop you could think of. This Issue Project Room production also has some very enticing opening acts: sound artist Marina Rosenfeld, combining found sound objects into new coherent wholes; and improvising singer Charmaine Lee.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: You wouldn't think a place called River Deli was a good Sardinian restaurant. But it is.
