The excellent Momenta Quartet's annual festival of new and new-sounding music, each of the four shows curated by one of the Quartet's members. This year adds the additional excitement of a celebration of 15 years of the Quartet's existence. This weeks opening shows are both solid, Tuesday featuring pieces by (among others) Mario Davidovsky and should-be-much-more popular Alvin Singleton; Wednesday featuring pieces by (among others) Harry Partch, should-be-much-more-popular Roberto Sierra, shouldn't-have-been-murdered-by-the-Nazis Erwin Schulhoff, and Gyorgi Ligeti(!!!!).
