Not sure how a festival originally conceived to explore spirituality ends up presenting one of the earthiest plays in the canon. But I'll tell you this: if there's any theater company on earth you'd expect to do justice to this bloody and darkly funny historical tale of political appetite, it's Galway's spectacular Druid Theater, under the inspired direction of its leader Garry Hynes.
