(Holy shit:  the Stone Series in Crown Heights isn't monthly -- it's weekly!)  Whatever family connections he might have, it has to be agreed that Gyan Riley is a really great guitarist with a unique Eastern-inflected style.  On the first night of his two-night residency, he's joined by a bunch of mainly non-avant-jazz players.  On the second night, he's joined by the Pakistani/Brooklyn vocalist/soundscaper Arooj Aftab.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Gotta be Catfish, for Cajun food and general good vibes.
