German-born saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock is a solid stalwart of the Brooklyn music scene (not to mention the international jazz scene), with a sharp quicksilver approach to both playing and composing.  Here she plays two shows each with its own ensemble.  In case you haven't heard (the really excellent) bassist Nick Dunston for a week or so, he's playing in Friday's sax-and-strings ensemble (which looks very interesting).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Catfish, because it's so much fun -- and the Cajun food is so so good.
