Rocco DiPietro gathers a rather astounding group of musicians (Kathleen Supové/Joseph Kubera/Robert Dick/Larry Marotta/Mivos Quartet) to join him in playing his own somewhat abstruse music, as well as a piece by his Buffalo colleague, the great Minimalist Expressionist Julius Eastman. Also on the bill is an intriguing new audio-visual piece by trumpet explorer Ben Neill, exploring the life and work of Baroque trumpet master Girolamo Fantini with period instrumental support.
