OK, yeah, so William Parker is the presiding giant towering over all other extant free-jazz bass players. But beyond that, what an interesting band concept: avant-shredder (when she's not doing singer-songwriter) Ava Mendoza on guitar and the exciting, intellectually and physically nimble drummer Gerald Cleaver.
