I'm mainly recommending this out of curiosity over what prototypical alt-classical chamber ensemble YMusic will play at a jazz festival show featuring R&B-leaning acts.  Mark Guiliana Beat Music namechecks the right influences — Art Blakey, J Dilla, Squarepusher — but ends up sounding too lounge for me.  Taylor McFerrin departs from the longstanding practice of his father and grandfather by not being named "Robert".

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Congee Village should still be open after the show.
