A violinist from the marvelous Contemporaneous ensemble plays solo violin music by David Lang and the suddenly (but happily) ubiquitous Jessie Montgomery (who knows a thing or two about violin-playing herself) for an audience of one somewhere in Prospect Park.  Not surprisingly, all the slots are taken — but things happen.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Grab some terrific dumplings at East Wind Snack Shop (Windsor Terrace) and take them back into the Park to eat.
