We can wonder about the bad faith in the Classical Music Performing Establishment's having effectively ignored the Black composer George Walker for decades whereas suddenly you can hardly find a mainstream program without him.*  Or we can just enjoy the opportunity to finally hear the superlative music.  Cellist Julia Bruskin and pianist Aaron Wunsch, two excellent players (and a couple!), should do it well.  Also on the program are two composers whom the Classical Music Performing Establishment hasn't ignored, Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Thistle:  pour 2 oz. Scotch and 1 oz. sweet Vermouth, with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  Garnish with a lemon twist.
