The International Contemporary Ensemble's ace hornist David Byrd-Marrow plays pieces by himself and such other composers as Paul Wiancko, whose energetic music is getting better and better.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: I think we'll have yet another Pan American Clipper: rinse a chilled Martini glass or coupe with Absinthe. Pour 1-1/2 oz. Lairds Bonded Apple Brandy and 3/4 oz. each of Grenadine and lime juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. You can toss in an apple slice if you like.
