Arnie Zane originally created Come Together as a solo leading to a duet with his artistic and life partner Bill T. Jones. After Zane died of AIDs, Jones recast it as a piece for their full dance company. Now, in a fund-raiser for three Black social justice organizations, Jones has arranged a remote performance featuring company members (some real legends) spanning four decades.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In honor of Arnie's native borough, a Bronx: pour 2 oz. Gin, 1/2 oz. each of dry and sweet Vermouth, and 1 oz. orange juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.
