Musician/theorist DeForrest Brown, Jr. — a huge List favorite if ever there was one — curates a collaboration wherein Detroit Techno-associated futurist visual artist A. Qadim Haqq joins with electronic explorers Dopplereffekt, featuring the surviving member of the great Techno duo Drexciya, to further the Drexciyan myth of slaves thrown overboard from slave ships giving rise to a cadre of invincible amphibian warriors. In other words, the kind of unique, rewarding, bound-to-surprise show we almost take for granted from ISSUE Project Room.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Nothing but Martinis this week: we need something STRONG. Pour 2 oz. Gin and 1 oz. dry Vermouth into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
