Under the leadership of questing trumpeter/composer Nate Wooley, four musicians who play music usually denominated as "Jazz" get together with four musicians who play music usually denominated as "New Music" to see what will happen.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Six Cylinder: pour 1/2 oz. each of Gin, Cherry Brandy (you really want Rocher Cherry for this, if you're able to find any), sweet Vermouth, dry Vermouth, Dubonnet Rouge, and Campari into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a suspension of disbelief that such a disparate set of ingredients could blend into something delicious.
