Nobody does this self-deprecating self-examining self-involved monologue stuff as well as Spalding Gray did. But Spalding is dead and Martin Dockery isn't.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: That'll Take the Edge Off: rinse a chilled Old Fashioned glass with Absinthe. Pour 2 oz. blended Scotch, 3/4 oz. sweet Vermouth, and 1/4 oz. green Chartreuse, with 3 dashes of Peychaud's bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into the rinsed glass. Express a grapefruit peel into the drink and then discard the peel.
