The final two of four concerts (three of the twelve parts parts per show) in which the Phillip Glass Ensemble —  which no longer includes Glass himself — plays this defining piece of early Minimalism, the summum of the first phase of Glass's mature composing career.  It's loud.  It's long.  It's absolutely riveting.
