Heartbeat Opera was going to give one of their politicized updates to Verdi's Macbeth this Spring, but you know what happened.  So instead they're doing a series of "virtual soirées", where a limited Zoom audience will interact with a cast member, who will do a live musical performance and host rehearsal footage and a music video of Lady M's killer Sleepwalking Scene.  All slots appear to be taken, but check to see if anything opens up.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Tonite let's drink in London:  pour 2-1/2 oz. Gin, 1/2 teaspoon Absinthe, and 1 teaspoon Simple Syrup, with 2 dashes of orange bitters, in an ice-filled cocktail shaker, stir, and strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  (You might throw a 1/2 oz. of chilled water into the shaker if this seems too dauntingly strong.)  Garnish with an orange twist.
