Not many people can say they're both a first-rate popsinger-songwriter and an inspiration for a world-historical political movement.  But Emel Mathlouthi can.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Call it Macaroni:  Pour 1 oz. sweet Vermouth and 2 oz. Absinthe into an ice-filled cocktail shaker, stir, and strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  Garnish with an orange twist.
