The performance artist/sonic explorer Ka Baird presents an evening of performances; it's a pity she isn't scheduled to perform herself, since I just listened to her most recent album and, I have to say, loved it.  So we'll have to console ourselves with such great guests as theorist/beatwise electronic experimentalist DeForest Brown, Jr., and Cellist Of The Future MV Carbon.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Trinadad Sour, a weird but unexpectedly quite delicious cocktail:  pour 1/2 oz. Rye, 3/4 oz. lemon juice, 1 oz. Orgeat, and 1 oz. Angostura bitters (yes, you read that right:  1 oz. of bitters) into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Shake.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
