If you saw Methods Body on Nadia Sirota's Living Music:  Pirate Radio on Thursday, chances are you were blown away — at least if you believe that the distance between a certain kind of electronic pop music and a certain kind of contemporary classical is minimal (pun intended), and that a melding of Terry Riley/Éliane Radigue and Aphex Twin, with big blasts of microtonality and polyrhythms, is exactly what you want to hear.  Tonight they're celebrating the release of their first album!  And they've invited to the party Arone Dyer, Brooklyn's favorite bicycle mechanic/buke player/auronaut; and two great musicians out of Lebanon, exploratory guitarist Anthony Sahyoun, and alt-pop (and I mean really alt) experimentalist Fadi Tabbal.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  A Modernista would be just the thing:  pour 2 oz. Scotch, 1/2 each of oz. Dark Rum, Swedish Pusnch, and lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Absinthe, with a 2 dashes of orange bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Shake.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.  Garnish with a lemon twist.
