This year's version of the Bang on a Can Marathon was going to be spectacular, even by their standards:  a three-day takeover, to occur this weekend, of the Brooklyn alt classical scene, with attendees wandering from venue to venue — the spots readers of this List frequent all year — to hear a cornucopia of alt classical and related musics.  Well, that obviously didn't happen.  So instead we get a day of those musicians live-streaming from home:  exactly the people this List focuses on; this whole program is like this List come to life.  If you're reading this, you need to be watching this.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  You can drink Black Flips all day — and they're Brooklyn based!  Pour 2 oz. Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout, 1-1/2 oz. Black Strap Rum, 1/2 oz. Brown Sugar Syrup, and a whole egg into a cocktail shaker.  Swirl (to flatten the beer), dry shake (without ice), and then put some ice in and shake some more.  Strain into a chilled wine glass.  Garnish with nutmeg.
