Pianist Yumi Suehiro plays gnarly Modernist stuff — Berio, Jarrell, Furrer, like that — with visual elements provided by jewelry maker/artist Kaname Higa.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  Roman Holiday:  muddle 8 mint leaves and 3 teaspoons of Simple Syrup in a cocktail shaker.  Add 1 oz. each of Amaro (Averna by preference) and sweet Vermouth, and 3/4 oz. lemon juice.  Fill with ice.  Shake.  Strain into a rocks glass over ice.  Garnish with a lemon wedge.
