Gordon Beeferman is a very compelling, very inventive, very fluent composer/pianist on the border between classical and jazz.  If you don't know him, you should.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  I've been thinking about what a completely brilliant invention the White Negroni is:  pour 1 oz. each of Gin, Lillet Blanc (I prefer Kina l'Aero d'Or, to be honest), and Suze into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a Martini glass or coupe.  Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
