Another Jazz Gallery initiative, this one featuring musical segments recorded by the participating artists during the week preceding the stream, and then live chat with the artists afterward.  While Jonathan Finlayson is an extremely absorbing trumpeter/composer who is very much worth going out of your way for, Your Compiler might be even more excited about saxophonist Anna Webber, who is sort of Brooklyn Jazz Personified in her refusal to distinguish between jazz and classical and other musics.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  The Brooklyn gave rise to the Red Hook:  pour 2 oz. Rye and 1/2 oz. each of Punt e Mes and Maraschino liqueur into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
