Brooklyn's favorite chamber orchestra celebrates itself in a free gala.  And just when you're getting worn down by all the self-congratulation, the wonderful violinist/composer Jessie Montgomery will show up for a guest spot!

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  MIght as well have a Brooklyn:  pour 2 oz. Rye, 1/2 oz. dry Vermouth, and 1/4 oz. each of Maraschino liqueuer and Amer Picon (or, absent that, Golden Moon Amer dit Picon or Bigalet China-China or Amaro CioCiaro) into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.  Stir.  Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
