Kamala Sankaram's steampunk opera Miranda is really really good.  Here, it's presented in a truncated form — but aside from watching Old Skool on YouTube, there are various interactive options.  Not to be missed.  (And a shout-out to the List's college-town opera company!)

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT:  The Winona:  pour 2 oz. Bourbon and 1/2 oz. (room temperature) maple syrup into a cocktail shaker (with no ice).  Stir.  Add 3 dashes of Angostura bitters and 2 dashes of orange bitters to ice in an Old Fashioned glass.  Pour in the Bourbon/maple syrup mixture.  Stir.  Garnish with an orange twist.
