Annabella Lenzu confronts, through dance, womanhood, motherhood, immigranthood, being a Latinx/European artist living in New York, being both artist and spectator in odd (to say the least) times blahblahblah. Night Descends on Svalbard was what resulted when an actor/singer/dancer who thought she was entirely West Asian/North African/Hellenic discovered she had some Viking DNA as well, and co-created a play about researchers being stranded at the Global Seed Vault in way northern Norway as the season of all-day light turns into the season of all-day dark.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: The Witches: pour 1-1/4 oz. Linie Aquavit, 1 oz. Manzanilla Sherry, and 1/2 oz. green Chartreuse into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist and a dill sprig.
