The Performa performance art biennial kicks off with an online telethon, featuring among many others such key New York figures as alt/experimental guitar legend (and List college friend) Lee Ranaldo and sonic explorer (and also — this really kills me personally — a really good writer) Alan Licht.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Hemingway Daiquiri: pour 2 oz. light Rum, 1/2 oz. each of Maraschino liqueur and grapefruit juice, 3/4 oz. lime juice, and 1/4 oz. Simple Syrup into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lime wheel.
