I'll say it: I find Samora Pinderhughes's work self-indulgent and faint. But that seems to be a minority opinion. Among the accompanying artists on this first show of a three-concert residency over the course of this season — purportedly the most stripped-down (promisingly) — is the Argus Quartet.
