It's a little embarrassing to say this about the son of college friends, but Gabriel Zucker has to be one of the most fascinating young composer/bandleaders in jazz-based classical-aligned music. Tonight he presents a new long-form piece, with dance and video accompaniment. Zucker's music is mandatory listening.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, food purportedly reflective of Brooklyn cultures but it looks like nice versions of the same old stuff to me at the restaurant in the new Brooklyn Ace Hotel, As You Are. Live streaming at home, have a High Fashion: pour 2 oz. Gin and 1-1/4 oz. each of Saint-Germain and grapefruit juice, with 2 dashes of Rhubarb bitters, into a rocks glass over ice. Stir. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
