If there's anyone on the New York dance scene this List adores, it's Vicky Shick, who abstracts the quotidian into something strange and revelatory. A collaboration with Jon Kinzel, whose work is as much installation as choreography, should only make the quotidian stranger.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: The eclectic As You Are, in the new Brooklyn Ace Hotel, is really pretty nice.
