We don't usually List oldies shows here — pop or classical — but it's my birthday, so permit me my nostalgia. The songs of the greatest power pop band ever, a band I just LOVED, BIg Star — performed acoustically, with orchestrations, by a gaggle of genre luminaries, including one of my favorite pop-rock musicians, onetime protegé of (the late) Biggest Star Alex Chllton, Chris Stamey (now let's do a dBs tribute!).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Not much night-making on a Sunday night (or any night) in Brooklyn Heights. Maybe take the long walk over to The Long Island Bar?
