Let me come clean: I really like the neo-psych pop-rock of The Flaming Lips. I should know better — but I don't. I just loved their reviled Dead Petz collab with Miley Cyrus: played it over and over again, almost obssessively. I even liked it when they went all neo-Tom Petty on their last album — and unlike the psych pop-rock they usually take off of, that's not a kind of music I like to begin with. So take this fan's recommendation with a grain of salt. But understand that it's heartfelt.
