To my taste, Nouvelle Cirque — especially the French kind — is getting played out, choking on its own increasing preciosity. Let's hope Fanny Soriano and her troupe avoid this tendency.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: My friends in Montclair can't believe you can walk to hearty New American Turtle + The Wolf from Montclair State University, but they're Suburban Wimps. Urbanites will find it a pleasant and easy stroll.
