Gyan Riley can do whatever he wants on guitar. But what counts, as always, are his ideas: he's highy eclectic, with infuences ranging from Americana to Indian Classical to flamenco to baroque — but not superficially; his understanding is deep, and his blend seems organic. (See, I got through that entire write-up without mentioning who his father is!)

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, back to Colombia in Park Slope, for Colombian. In Park Slope. At home, have a Paper Plane (God I love these): pour 3/4 oz. each of Bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and lemon juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
