Montrealer Marie Davidson's Working Class Woman was one of the sleeper albums of the last few years: icy electronic music that nevertheless engaged with lived life and even politics. Now, however, she's gone and formed (or rather re-formed) a band and gone all French Pop on us. Delightfully, I must say.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Montreal: pour 3/4 oz. each of Rye (it really ought to be Canadian Rye), Gin, Aperol, and Suze into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
