In one of those technological marvels we're all becoming accustomed to, New York's International Contemporary Music Ensemble (joined by such amazing musicians from the local jazz scene as alsto saxophonist Darius Jones and vocalist Fay Victor) collaborate remotely with Reykjavik's Skerpla Ensemble. On the bill are pieces by our Anthony Braxton and their Bergrún Snæbjörnsdóttir (although she might as well be ours, too, as the last I knew she was living in Brooklyn).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Brenn-Hattan (yes this drink actually exists): pour 2 oz. Brennivin and 1 oz. sweet Vermouth into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a rosemary sprig that you've slapped a few times (to release the flavor).
