Another episode in Joseph Hendel's continuing remote epic about a group of people acting in accordance with a set of instructions they've received (or think they've received) that may or make not actually exist.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Rye Shake: pour 2 oz. Rye, 1 oz. lime juice, and 3/4 oz. Simple Syrup into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. (I would add 1 or 2 dashes of Angostura bitters myself.) Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
