Surrounded by the works of Isamu Noguchi at the Noguchi Museum, the thoughts of the Argus Quartet inevitably turned to the use of silence and noise in music. Among the several composers on the bill, John Cage presumably represents silence. And Paul Wiancko almost certainly represents noise.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Lime Chu-Hai: pour 2 oz. Shochu and 1 oz. lime juice into a Highball glass over ice. Stir. Top with soda water.
