Two dancers/interdisciplinary artists reflect on their shared Ashkenazic Jewish heritage. Liberation struggles! Collusion with colonialists! Really awful food!

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Lower East Side (from Russ & Daughters Cafe!): muddle a few cucumber slices at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Pour in 2 oz. Gin, and 3/4 oz. each of lime juice and Simple Syrup, with a pinch of dill, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Add ice. Shake. Double strain train into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a dill sprig.
