A magical realist multimedia piece exploring the vicissitudes — you know, colonialism, war, the usual stuff White people impose on Brown people — of Crystal Peñalosa's Chammoro forebears in Guam and the Northern Marianas.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: If you go to the venue, it'll be nice to walk around the corner to the welcoming and delicious Kind of Soul. At home, have a Bitter Mai Tai: pour 3/4 oz. Jamaican Rum, 1-1/2 oz. Campari, 1/2 oz. Curaçao, 1 oz. lime juice, and 3/4 oz. Orgeat into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a double Old Fashioned glass over crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.
