Tabla-permeated electronic dance music: it's not a new thing, but it's usually pretty great. Chicago's Neybuu is a good exponent of the approach.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Goa: pour 1-1/2 oz. white Rum, 1 oz. Cointreau or other Triple Sec, 1-1/2 oz. orange juice, 1 oz. passionfruit juice, 1/2 oz. lime juice, with 1-1/2 tablespoons of sugar, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Pour into a Collins glass over ice. Garnish with an orange twist.
