Susie Ibarra, an incredibly interesting percussionist, performs with her Talking Gong ensemble — which, also incredibly, includes superflautist Claire Chase and Alex Peh on piano.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: If you go to the venue, it'll be nice to walk around the corner to the welcoming and delicious Kind of Soul. (Last time I was at Roulette, the entire cast of the performance ended up joining me and the others in KOS's delightful backyard.) At home, try a Pancho Villa (named, just so you know, after the Filipino boxer, not the Mexican rebel): pour 1 oz. each of light Rum, Gin, and Apricot Brandy, and 1/4 oz. each of Cherry Brandy and pineapple juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
