Midsummer is long past, unfortunately. In any event, Indie Opera companies from Pittsburgh and here present mixed program of New and Old Opera extracts.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Wild Heart: pour 1-1/4 oz. each of Aperol and Vermouth Blanc, and 3/4 oz. lemon juice, with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over ice. Top with bitter lemon soda. Garnish with an orange wheel.
