A great show at Celebrate Brooklyn! Nappy Nina is a great local Conscious Rapper. KeiyaA is a leading entrant in the Brooklyn Nu R&B sweepstakes. But Yaeji, who put the show together, is something else again. She makes advanced house/trap, which draws very obliquely on her Korean roots and communicates a personal identity; her What We Drew was one of the best albums of the last couple of years.
