Led by the estimable Marin Alsop, the Sāo Paulo Symphony Orchestra pulls out all the stops in a themed multi-media (film by Marcello Dantas) concert celebrating/illustrating/lamenting the Amazon. That means they’ll be playing Philip Glass, of course, and also Villa-Lobos, Clarice Assad, Jobim, and a lot of other composers you’d probably have heard of if you were from Brazil.
